My EHR Isn't Certified or I'm Changing EHRs

In order for providers to achieve meaningful use and optimize their EHR use to improve patient care, it is critical that they use certified EHR technology.  This may pose challenges for providers who implemented a system several years ago and now learn that their vendor is not -- or does not intend to become certified.  If your practice finds itself in this situation, CRISP urges you to get in touch with us.  We can help you make a sound decision on whether to stay with your current system, switch systems, or pursue some other course of action.  Email us at rec@crisphealth.org for assistance.

In addition, some practices may wish to switch from one EHR to another, after having found that their current system does not fit its workflow, doesn't meet its needs, or is not sufficiently supported by the vendor.  CRISP and its MSOs can assist with this process.  

The Certified HIT Product List (CHPL) provides the authoritative, comprehensive listing of Complete EHRs and EHR Modules that have been tested and certified under the Temporary Certification Program maintained by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC). Each Complete EHR and EHR Module listed has been certified by an ONC-Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) and reported to ONC. Only the product versions that are included on the CHPL are certified under the ONC Temporary Certification Program.

Note: If your practice uses an EHR that is not listed on the MSO Directory, then your participation in the REC program requires a waiver.  The MSO you choose will be required to submit a waiver to CRISP on your behalf.
