ZaneNet Connect

Description
Zane Networks employs experts in the interrelated fields of health and information technology, including Certified Professionals in Health IT, Certified Implementers and Trainers of Electronic Health Records, Project Management Professionals, Practice Managers and IT professionals. ZaneNet Connect’s technology director, Luigi Leblanc, who leads the ZaneNet Connect division, is an electronic engineer and public health professional with over 15 years of experience in Telemedicine/Telecommunications technologies. He has served as a telemedicine program manager for several large scale projects, overseeing the technical and administrative responsibilities inherent to distance learning, multimedia and clinical teleconsultation networks. He specializes in the design of telehealth networks that integrate telecommunications, LAN/WAN networks, and Internet technologies.

ZaneNet also employs several Account Managers and IT implementers whose role is to work one on one with providers to assist them in their EHR implementation efforts. Our account managers include individuals who have either managed large primary care practices or clinics or have worked as EHR implementers/trainers. Also, as a high performing health IT company we have available a range of IT professionals including certified LAN/WAN experts, networking engineers and software developers. The key to ZaneNet Connect’s success is our emphasis on a team approach. We conduct weekly calls to coordinate our work with providers and we require all of our staff to attend periodic trainings to improve their knowledge of new Federal and State policies and to learn new technologies and processes that may help with EHR adoption.

Implementation Timeline
ZaneNet Connect has created a toolkit that walks the providers through the numerous steps involved in a successful EHR adoption. The first step in our toolkit is to schedule a Clinical and Technical Practice Assessment including a Security and Vulnerability Risk Assessment that analyzes the current workflow, personnel and IT infrastructure. Based on these results we generate a written report for physicians that includes an overview of their practice and recommended next steps in terms of workflow changes and IT requirements. Next, we discuss possible EHR options that would fit best for the provider’s practice based on practice size, focus, infrastructure, and cost model. After narrowing EHR options, we then coordinate a series of EHR demos from which the provider can choose from. To guide this process, we have developed an EHR comparison chart that has a series of key questions to ensure that the provider is picking the right solution for his/her practice. If any IT work is needed, including data transfer, IT hardware, network configuration, or other IT needs, we provide a scope and estimate for this assistance. After the EHR selection is made, we help manage the implementation process in partnership with the practice and the vendors. Finally, we provide guidance to help providers file the appropriate paperwork to qualify for Federal and State incentive programs. As part of our MSO network, providers are invited to various online and in-person forums to share their experiences and learn about new initiatives offered by the government and/or related entities.
